Inside an indoor bouldering gym with colourful holds on steep walls above thick crash mats

A peak-time adult entry at most of London's big bouldering walls now costs £17 or £18, and shoe hire adds another £3 to £4.50. You don't have to pay that. Picking the right wall, the right time of day or one of the discount sessions can bring a session down to £8 or less.

Every price below is the standard adult price unless we say otherwise, and was checked against each gym's own website on 26 October 2026 (Westway on 19 October; see the notes on Yonder and Mile End). Prices change, so our price comparison is the place to check the current figures side by side.

The cheapest day passes

These walls charge less than the usual £17 for an adult entry at any time of day:

  • Yonder, Walthamstow: £10 single entry, £7.50 for concessions. Yonder publishes its price list as an image, so check its website before you go.
  • Westway Climbing Centre, North Kensington: £11.50 peak, £10.50 off-peak. The catch: you must register as a competent climber, or complete its Introduction to Bouldering course, before you can buy a casual climb.
  • Climbing District Tottenham Hale: £13, or £10.50 off-peak. These prices apply at Tottenham Hale only.
  • Gantry Climbing, Surrey Quays: £14 at any time (£12 concession, £9 under-18s). This not-for-profit wall opened in October 2026 in the old Arch unit at Surrey Quays Shopping Centre.
  • Mile End Climbing Wall: £14.50 to £15.50 for adult day entry, which includes a donation to the charity that runs it. We haven't been able to confirm the current price on its website.
  • Climbing District Building One (Bermondsey) and Climbing District London Fields: £15 at any time of day.
  • The Reach, Woolwich: £15 peak, £12 off-peak (weekdays 10am to 4pm).
  • CroyWall, Croydon: £15.50 peak, £11.50 off-peak, the cheapest of the London Climbing Centres walls.
  • White Spider, Tolworth: £16 peak, £13 off-peak (weekdays 10am to 5pm).

For comparison, the other London Climbing Centres walls (BethWall, CanaryWall, EustonWall, HarroWall, RavensWall and both VauxWalls) and City Bouldering (Aldgate, White City, Stratford and Climbing Co Fulham) charge £17 peak, and The Castle charges £18.

Go off-peak

If you can climb on a weekday daytime, most walls knock £3 to £4 off. The cheapest off-peak adult entry:

Climbing Co Fulham, Gantry and Climbing District's Building One and London Fields charge the same at all times. The Castle has no off-peak single entry for adults, only for concessions (£10.50).

£7.50 and £8 sessions

Two of the big chains run short discount windows that cost about half the normal price.

London Climbing Centres "Magic Time": £8

Check in during the window and pay £8. It isn't available on bank holidays.

The long weekday windows at VauxWall East, CroyWall and RavensWall are the easiest to use. New climbers also pay a £2 registration fee on their first visit.

City Bouldering "Bargain Climbing": £7.50

All four City Bouldering venues list Bargain Climbing at £7.50. Slots are limited and must be booked in advance. At Climbing Co Fulham it runs every Monday from 10am to 4pm; at Aldgate the slots are on Sunday evenings and early on Monday mornings. Check the booking page for the other venues.

Gantry's Sunday Slayer: £8

Gantry Climbing charges £8 on Sundays from 3pm to 7pm. While it runs reduced opening hours (until 2 November 2026) it closes at 4pm at weekends, so check its website first.

Student deals

Concession prices for students and other groups are also available at most walls, usually a few pounds below the adult price.

Cheaper memberships

If you climb more than four or five times a month, a membership usually works out cheaper than paying each time. The lowest monthly prices for unlimited adult climbing:

Full-time memberships that cover a whole group cost £72 at Climbing District and £85 at London Climbing Centres and City Bouldering.

Watch the extras

  • Shoe hire is £3 at Climbing Co Fulham, £3.50 at The Reach, £3.90 at White Spider, £4 at The Castle and £4.50 at London Climbing Centres and City Bouldering. If you climb more than a few times, buying your own shoes soon pays for itself.
  • Registration fees on a first visit: £2 at London Climbing Centres, £2.50 at White Spider, £3 at City Bouldering and £5 at The Reach.
  • Multi-visit passes save a little if you don't want a membership: for example, £115 for 10 visits at Gantry and £125 for 10 sessions with no expiry at The Reach.

The short version. The lowest single prices are £10 at Yonder and £10.50 off-peak at Westway or Tottenham Hale. For £7.50 to £8, use Magic Time at a London Climbing Centres wall, a pre-booked Bargain Climbing slot at City Bouldering, or Gantry's Sunday Slayer. Students should look at Tottenham Hale (£5) and Gantry (£6).
